TainiTec is a spinout company from the Wearable Technologies Laboratory in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Imperial College London. It was created to commercialise a series of small and lightweight wireless neural monitoring systems, the first of which was designed as a result of a research challenge identified by the 'National Centre for the Replacement, Refinement & Reduction of Animals in Research' (NC3Rs). The NC3Rs CRACKIT challenge was "designed to accelerate the development, application and commercialisation of technologies with 3Rs potential as they emerge from the research base".
TainiTec's team consists of electronic, design and software engineers with a specialisation in ultra low-power analogue circuit design and wearable biosignal sensing.
